As President and Chief Executive Officer of MBI Media, Ms. McCormick brings her high standards to the public information arena. It is the personal focus she demands from her staff that has MBI Media highly regarded in many professional circles. Ms. McCormick has developed her 100% woman-owned firm into a national media company, one of the few companies in the U.S. with a primary market in rail and transit. 
<br><br>
Ms. McCormick founded MBI Media nineteen years ago. This unique media firm is recognized for high quality services that support documentation of large public projects, strong outreach programs, web-based management services and corporate marketing to garner community support, and media relations for employees and management. Communication between project management and the community are integral to MBI Media’s vision and mission.

Ms. McCormick was the former President and now serves as Chairman of the Harbor Association of Industry and Commerce Executive Board, member of the Propeller Club, past President and current member of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).  She is a current Board Director for Women’s Transportation Coalition (WTC), the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership (SGVEP). In addition, Ms. McCormick was recently selected by Caltrans to sit on their Small Business Advisory Board and has served on the Advisory Board for the Center for Trade, Transportation and Technology, which studies Intelligent Transportation Systems for commuter rail and transit applications. Ms. McCormick received the “Woman of Achievement Award– Media” in 2005 from the San Gabriel Valley YWCA.

Camera Operator 
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television Management, Mary McCormick was hired by NBC affiliate, KING-TV, Seattle, Washington. As one of the first television news camerawomen on the West Coast, Ms. McCormick started in 16mm film where she acquired an extensive technical knowledge of film and videotape cameras, camera lenses, lighting and editing.

Mini-Cam Engineer
After winning two Emmys and two national awards, her accomplishments were noticed by ABC owned-and-operated KABC-TV, Los Angeles and in 1980 was hired as a Mini-Cam Microwave Engineer. She was responsible for microwave and hard-line units, which transmitted signals for KABC-TV, ABC World News Tonight, and Good Morning America.

Field Producer
In a unique move, NBC Network News hired Ms. McCormick from a camera position to Field Producer in 1983, requiring her to oversee camera crews and correspondents. She wrote, produced and developed stories for the Today Show and NBC Nightly News. Additionally, she supervised national satellite feeds from West Coast NBC affiliates to the rest of the U.S.

Producer/Director
PBS asked Ms. McCormick to join a team of producers in 1984 at affiliate station KCET, Los Angeles. She acquired her third Emmy there as producer of a series of documentaries that concentrated on local and regional issues.

Education
Ms. McCormick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio and Television Management from Eastern Washington University and has completed graduate work towards her Masters of Business Administration, Executive Leadership Program.
